Real Madrid President Florentino Perez is reportedly considering selling star player Cristiano Ronaldo in 2018/19 season according to Spanish news outlet Don Balon.

The 2016 Ballon d’Or winner signed a five year deal last November to stay at Santiago Barnabeu until the year 2021 but the club will however prefer to cash in on him before he gets too old.

According to close sources, there was a massive offer from Chinese Super League clubs last year but the La Liga giants and the player decided against a move at this time.

US Major League Soccer clubs are also understood to be considering an offer for the 31-year-old Portuguese when he is made available by the Spanish giants.

Ronaldo had the best year in his career in 2016. He beat rival Lionel Messi to both Ballon d’Or and FIFA World Best Player awards. He also helped his club win Uefa Champions League, Uefa Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup. He also Captained the Portuguese side that lifted the first ever EURO 2016 trophy.

The former Manchester United star rose to stardom under former Red Devils manager Sir Alex Ferguson. He won the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Uefa Champions League and FIFA World Cup with the Premier League team. He also won his first Ballon d’Or award at the Club before making a record switch to the Los Blancos in 2009.
